STATUTE
TITLE I.
FOUNDER, NAME, OFFICES, DURATION OF OPERATION
Chapter I. FOUNDER
Art. 1. The Founder is the persona mentioned in the Constitutive Act.
Chapter II. NAME
Art. 2. The name of the foundation is Fundatia Institutul International de Tehnologie si Economie Apicola (abbreviated F.I.I.T.E.A.) - (The Institute of Beekeeping International Technology and Economy Foundation- name in the official language, having the equivalent in French Fondation Institut International de Technologie et d'Economie Apicoles - , in German - Stiftung Internationales Institut für Bienentechnologie und -wirtschaft, in Spanish - Fundación Instituto Internacional de Tecnología y Economía Apícola,).
Chapter III. OFFICES
Art. 3. FIITEA's offices are located in Bucharest, 42A Ficusului Blvd. Sector 1.
Art. 4. The Offices may change location by decision of the Managing Committee.
Chapter IV. DURATION OF OPERATION
Art. 5. FIITEA's duration of operation is indefinite.
TITLE II.
PURPOSE, OBJECTIVES, ACTIVITIES FOR ACHIEVEMENT OF PROPOSED OBJECTIVES
Chapter I. PURPOSE
Art. 6. FIITEA intends to offer a base for:
i. scientific, technical and economic development of beekeeping in the world;
ii. closer relations of cooperation at multiple levels among beekeepers, organizations working to the interest of beekeepers and beekeeping and other interested circles;
iii. support for any initiative aimed at contributing effectively to the improvement of beekeeping practice and to the profitable distribution of the products obtained as result of this activity, using the potential and means of its own production and research sectors and units.
Chapter II. ACTIVITIES
Art. 7. To achieve the proposed objectives, FIITEA will carry out the following activities:
a) provide specialized technical assistance to beekeeping organizations, especially those in the developing countries;
b) organize training courses for beekeepers upon request from interested organizations;
c) create its own demonstrative beekeeping centers, pilot centers;
d) generalize profitable beekeeping technologies;
e) perform research activities in beekeeping and publicize results, encourage and stimulate persons with special merits in the field, including providing awards and grants in the country and abroad;
f) organize and participate in national / international beekeeping exhibitions (temporary and permanent), in congresses, symposia, round tables, contests, other scientific and cultural events in the field, in the country and abroad, in cooperation with similar organizations;
g) edit and/or printing a beekeeping magazine which at the time of FIITEA registration is called APIACTA and the proceedings of international congresses and symposia in the field of beekeeping in the official languages of APIMONDIA, to publish through APIMONDIA Publishing House, integrated in the activity of FIITEA;
h) publish by use of own or external printing house and distribute works in the field of beekeeping ordered by member-organizations and various other books per orders from third parties; execute, edit, print in its own printing house, and distribute works in the field of beekeeping ordered by APIMONDIA member-organizations or by third parties interested, also distribute printed as well as audio-visual beekeeping materials (slides, crafts in the field, and others) in support of FIITEA's objectives.
i) promote, support and organize tourism in beekeeping areas
j) participate in the organization and preparation of APIMONDIA congresses and symposia
k) participate in the organization of the International Beekeeping School
l) to enhance the value of the works published and of the bee products created with its own resources or received from Apimondia member organizations, as well as of the fixed assets, in conformity with the legislation in effect
m) provide simultaneous translation services
n) based on programs or cooperation agreements, work with other organizations and institutions in the beekeeping field and provide support for food, health, environment protection, administrate funds made available by the United Nations or by other institutions or foundations for the development of beekeeping activities in certain developing countries or for beekeeping purposes;
o) initiate, create and/or support certain institutions or groups whose mission is to work in the interest of beekeepers and beekeeping
p) associate with other foundations or associations (legal persona) for joint activities, in accordance with their purpose, including similar organizations abroad
q) carry out any activities in conformity with the purpose of FIITEA and with the approval of the Managing Committee.
