Art. 24. The Committee meets annually and adopts decisions.
Irrespective of the quorum, the decisions must be adopted with minimum three votes "in favor", one of them being necessarily the vote of the General Director in his/her quality of the Managing Committee member.
The following two situations are exceptions to the voting procedure mentioned in the previous paragraph:
a) The Decision to demand the revoking of the General Director by suing him/her into Court - which should be adopted as stipulated in the Constitutive Act;
b) The decision of modification / completion of Regulations of FIITEA organization and operation, namely of the Constitutive Act or the Statute - which must be adopted as stipulated under the Art. 22, para. 2.
The summoning of members of the Managing Committee is done in writing, by any means, including by fax, through the care of the General Director and/or the President of the Managing Committee two months in advance. The agenda proposed for the meeting is communicated in the same way.
Members of the Managing Committee receive compensations for their activity. Also FIITEA plays host to the members of the managing Committee and may pay for their travel and daily allowance.
Art. 25. For their activity, the members of the Managing Committee are responsible before the founder (APIMONDIA). In this respect, The Managing Committee reports periodically to the Executive Council of Apimondia on the activity carried out.
Chapter III. GENERAL DIRECTOR
Art. 26. The General Director provides the current management of FIITEA and organizes the activities aimed at carrying out the decisions of the Managing Committee.
To achieve its competence, the General Director exercises attributions including:
a) coordinates, guides and promotes activities of beekeeping technology, providing technical assistance in the field to beekeeping organizations, organizing beekeeping courses and international beekeeping exhibitions, and facilitates economic links between organizations and specialized institutions for the development and profitableness of beekeeping
b) represents FIITEA at national and international levels, in relations with the founder and with other members of APIMONDIA, and coordinates the activity of FIITEA branches in other countries;
c) represents FIITEA in relations with any legal subject, including by signing legal documents in the name and on behalf of FIITEA;
d) approves FIITEA's position descriptions and staff policy and enforces disciplinarian measures to the supervised personnel in observance of legislation;
e) other attributions.
Art. 27. The General Director should be a Romanian citizen, being elected by the Managing Committee for 4 years with right for reconfirmation under the same conditions as the members of the Managing Committee.
Selection criteria for the position of General Director are the following: ability to speak English fluently (APIMONDIA's working language), good qualification and experience in management, economic and legal knowledge.
The General Director responds before the Managing Committee for the good organization and operation of FIITEA activities, for the achievement of FIITEA's object of activity and purpose covered by the organization and operation regulations.
Art. 28. In the execution of its attributions, the General Director makes decisions.
Art. 29. The General Director may delegate some of its attributions to the heads of compartments.
Art. 30. The General Manager receives compensations for his/her activity as reflected in the FIITEA Budget.
